The Updates that Matter!

Here's a little update on two indie bands I've been keeping an eye over the months.

VonNelson - From their website and their Myspace page, you would assume that their 3rd EP, which has been long in production, is finished.False. Well, maybe? Who knows, as it seems they have an album design finished and all of their songs finalized, but they have nothing oniTunes or CD Baby or any sort of news on either their site or Myspace as to whether they're ever going to release this EP. Hopefully they'll bother to release this EP soon. In the meantime, enjoy their new songs on Myspace and their website.

BennyStrange - Gaining a firm fanbase within OurStage.com, he's come out within or on the top of their monthly top 10 list of alternative (and pop as well) artists consecutively. His most popular song is still"Nowhere Left to Run" from last year's EP. But now, after much hardwork, he's released his latest EP, "When Continents Collide", on iTunes. You can also hear 2 of the songs on his Myspace. In my opinion,this EP looks to top even his last. Showing more of his musical genius then ever, Benny Strange creates even broader and more beautiful soundscapes then before. "Sifting" is well worth a listen and clearlyshows off his musical prowess as a solo artist. Keep an eye on this guy, he has potential for quite a big future.
