Not Gunn'a Do It
Written by Adam Cozens

No. OMG! Soooo punk.

I am not going to write about Ashlee Simpson getting engaged to Fall Out Boys' Pete Wentz. I'm not going to. I don't know or care about either of their music, I don't care about either of them and they are totally not in-line with the goal of this site. I won't do it. Please stop asking.

Yes, I am sure that I would be able to make many humorous observations in relation to the effeminancy of Wentz and the rather butch appearance of his soon-to-be bride. Yes, you are probably right that the mere combined powers of these two master of suck might be able to re-open up a black hole in the musical spectrum that hasn't been able to be filled since the break up of Crazy Town. There is a chance I would be able to shine a light on the distinct possibility that Ashlee is all preggers and that the spawn that is soon-to-emerge will make the career of Lil Al B. Sure undoubtedly look like Bruce Springteen in comparison.

I could say all of those things. But I'm busy. Maybe Craig will cover that. He loves the poppy stuff.

Jane's Addiction Pulls the Needle Out of Arm; Plays Crappy Award Show
Written by Adam Cozens
Thursday, 10 April 2008

If sexy had a name, it wouldn't be Perry According to our arch-rival music rag/mag Rolling Stone, late 80's - somewhere-in-the-90's L.A. hard-ish rock outfit Jane's Addiction is prepping to reform, regroup and TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!

The band, which at this point has broken up and reformed THREE previous times, is scheduled to preform at the upcoming NME awards show at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. Firstly, the El Rey Theater really, truly, totally sucks. Horrid venue. Can't believe they could pull an awards show. Secondly, I have no idea what NME stands for or why it warrents its own show and thirdly, the show must be really small and crappy because it is being held at the El Rey. See how that all came together?

The Regeneration Tour, Cochella, Charlie Daniels...short, and somewhat sweet
Written by Kyle Flaherty
Thursday, 10 April 2008

First off, I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am about the announcement of The Regeneration Tour.  Thats right folks, its a flashback 80's tour starting in Phoenix, AZ.  It'll bring us back such entertaining acts as Dead or Alive, Flock of Seagulls, Belinda Carlisle and, wait for it..THE HUMAN LEAGUE!!  Seriously, ever since I was at a young age, I feared that I would never get the chance to sing along to "Dont You Want Me Baby" live...fears assuaged.

Prince has been announced as a headliner for Cochella along with Jack Johnson and Roger Waters. Man, after knowing I could see The Human League, maybe hearing "When Dove's Cry" might actually top it.

Charlie Daniels is pissed.  Apparently he doesn't own the rights to what is thought of as "his song" "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." He is very mad because it appears in the game Guitar Hero, not only does the game get to use the song for free, but according to his released statement, the Guitar Hero version has the devil winning!  Hmm. I'd be more pissed that I don't have the playback royalties. Get over yourself. It's a video game.

Neil Diamond, POD, Rhianna, and Pavarotti...yeah, thats right, Pavarotti
Written by Kyle Flaherty

First off, a little back and forth.  Neil Diamond is back in the studio again, teaming up with famed Beastie Boys/Johnny Cash collaborator Rick Rubin.  While I am not the craziest die-hard Diamond fan, I do feel that Rick Rubin's influence on an album is like the Midas touch, so yes, I will probably buy the album.  I am frustrated however, that I will have to buy the deluxe edition if I want the cover of Simon and Garfunkels' "The Boxer", which IS one of the best songs ever written.

POD has a new album out.  Have not gotten a chance to hear it yet, but guitarist Marcos Curiel is back after a long absence and the band is claiming to have changed from a solid hard rock to an incorporated funk and reggae sound.  Hey all you Hard Rockers: lets all jump on the "If Linkin Park can write a ballad hit, we can write a ______song" too!!

Rhianna WON a Juno award at the Canadian awards Show.  Another, far less attentive music site headlines it as "Rhianna Wind Juno Award". Check it out.

Lastly, in a new tell all book, it's stated that Luciano Pavarotti lip-synced (lip-sunk? Lip-sank?) his last living performance which was at the 2006 Summer Olympics.  First off, I have a sad news flash for you:  so does Aretha Franklin. They all do. And if you believe half the old dudes rocking out there don't MIDI sync some pre-taped lyrics for your show, you're only fooling yourself.  Secondly, why you gotta be hatin' on Pavarotti. Let the man Rest In Peace.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Marry. Rockworms Conspicuously Left off Guest-List
Written by Adam Cozens
Sunday, 06 April 2008

Nice cigar...Despite this resident blogger's very short, yet oh-too significant friendship with Lady B's younger sister Solange Knowles, no invitation for Adam Cozens or the rest of the Rockworms.com staff was received in time to make this last weekend's private nuptials of Jay-Z  and Beyonce in New York City. Must have been an address mix-up.

The long-time couple solidified their love with the traditional exchanging of vows and rings at a private New York loft on Friday evening. Other attendees to this long rumored wedding including Coldplay's Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow as well as past members of Destiny's Child amongst others from the entertainment industry.

The rapper and singer had been a couple for six years prior to this event and it is the first marriage for either of them.

The happy couple celebrated by finally breaking their mutual pledges of abstinence.
