Bjork Hurt China's Feelings
Written by Craig Key

She says, Hey China, Bjork You!Man oh man, I don't know who is more pissed off at Bjork right now, Jackie Chan, or Ziyi Zhang--oh wait, Chan is a native of Hong Kong, which used to be independent of China, and Zhang is a Geisha...aren't they from Japan?  But isn't she Chinese?

ANYWAY...according to AP the "Culture Ministry"  from China said Bjork's outburst "broke Chinese law and hurt Chinese people's feelings," when she yelled out "Tibet" while singing her song "Declare Indpendence."  The comment started a Riot in Shanghai last week, and it's clear that Bjork won't be invited to the forbidden city for  a photo op any time soon.

Check out Bjork's "Declare Independence" music video, and our thuper-thpecial poll below...

John Denver Karaoke Sparks Thai Killing Spree

Murder was the case that they gave me You know, sometimes the headlines just write themselves!

As originally reported by my buddies at the U.K.'s Telegraph, a Thai man opened fire and killed eight-neighbors after gettin P.O.'d at their aweful excuse for a Karaoke preformance of a John Denver song.

The gunman, who is the proud owner of the most awesome name, Weenus Chumkamnerd, put his gun to the head of a respected female doctor and seven of her guests in her home in Songkhla Province.

"When I began shooting, nobody pleaded for his life because they were all drunk." Chukinmuhnutt said following his arrest. Chucky The Nutt was said to be sooooo incredibly, rabidly furious because his neighbors continued having this dreadful karaoke parites, despite his instance that they stop. In his rampage, he not not even notice that he had slain his own brother-in-law. At least he has a good excuse, right?

"I warned these people about their noisy karaoke parties. I said if they carried on I would go down and shoot them. I had told them if I couldn’t talk sense into them I would come back and finish them off," said the gunman.

A Lot of Rockers, A Little of Interest

Is a new "super-group" on the horizon? After the recent breakups of Velvet Revolver and Audioslave, you would expect SOMEONE to find time to scoop up the pieces of the lost and worn-down 90's metal. And someone has.

Korn guitarist "Munky" James Shaffer has announced the formation of a new project recording under the nom de plume of Fear And The Nervous System.  FATNS, or "Fattin's" as I will call them, are an eclectic gathering of muscians, which have for the most part arrived at this point in their careers after parting with former, equally bad groups. The list is below.

James 'Munky' Shaffer (Korn) - guitars/vocals

Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit/Black Light Burns) - guitars

Billy Gould (Faith No More) - bass

Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion) - drums/percussion

Leopold Ross (Error) - progamming/guitars

Zac Baird (Korn) - keyboards/programming

The band is prepping to release their debut album on August 8 through Shaffer's own Emotional Syphon Recordings imprint.

While I will freely admit that none of these acts fall into any of my preferred genres, I wouldn't mind getting interested in hyping this band if I thought anything would actually come of it. Looking at the line-up, it seems more like a pipe-dream that will die quickly, but I am all-for the effort!

Blind Melon Re-Forms...Creepily Obsess Over The Dead
Written by Adam Cozens
Saturday, 08 March 2008

Ahh! We're in the water! We are soooo punk!

When the 90's rock-outfit Blind Melon lost it's lead singer Shannon Hoon to a drug overdose in October of 1995, many believed that would be the last we would hear of  the, for-all-intents-and-purposes, "one hit wonder" band.

Not so fast sceptics! The four living hit-makers of such hits as "No Rain" and ... the acoustic version of "No Rain" have reunited and added to the group singer Travis Warren, creepy singer extrodinaire.

Warren had been writing new, un-B.M. material with former Melon guitarist Christopher Thorn and bassist Brad Smith when they asked him if he'd be interested in joining their recreation. They knew they had chosen correctly when Warren took off his shirt one day and revealed a 10-inch tattoo of the deceased Hoon on his back.

Warren opted to give this bizarre pull-quote: "It's like the dog you loved when you were a kid came back from the dead and just showed up back at your door, wagging his tail like nothing had ever happened."  I am terrified of this guy.

The band plans on continuing to write new materials and hopes to find the time to objectify more pre-pubescant overweight bee-girls.

And WHAT'S THE DEAL with all these BLACK people...

Elaine's Ankles Socks...So hot right now...In one of the most eclectic pairings since Danger Mouse hooked Jay-Z up with The Beatles, or Nelly and Tim McGraw decided to get it dirty, emcee Wale (timeout: umm, I am unsure if it is pronounced "Wail" or "Wally". You know these cleaver rappers and their mispellings. Any thoughts?) is produing a track for his upcoming mixtape with none other than the Queen of Street Cred, Julia Louis-Dreyfus..

Taking a page from 5 Boroughs rapper Cam'rom after he declared his love for Curb Your Enthusiasum, and Ghostface Killah's multiple apperances on 30 Rock, Wale (hailing from D.C.) is releasing The Mixtape About Nothing featuring tracks all concieved or inspired by the iconic Seinfeld television series.
