A Story So Awesome... I Must Bow to it's Awesomeness
Written by Adam Cozens

Still pound-for-pound, the greatest song-writer in the gameWhat happens when you throw a leather-clad 90's shock-rocker, a egotistical drunken English lyricist and a chain-smoking, wheel-chair bound one-hit wonder character actor (cue the T.A.X.I. fans...) in the same building at the same time?  Possibly the greatest story of our LIVES...that's what!

Backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert in L.A. this last weekend, Noel Gallagher, sometimes lead singer of Oasis got into a verbal confrontation with Grease star Jeff "Kenickee" Conaway resulting in Conaway PULLING A KNIFE on the singer!

Here is the play-by-play, thanks to our friends in the U.K. at The Mirror.

Rockworms: Low on content, short on pride.
Written by Craig Key

I don't know if you noticed or not, but poor Larry Norman has been at the top of our front page for days now.  Why?  You ask???  Is it because we at Rockworms are so bummed by the loss of the Christian rock pioneer?

Sadly, no.

The REASON there is no content, is because we (meaning the founding worms) are busy.  and YOU (our target audience, as well as our writing "staff") haven't stepped up to the plate.

That's right, Rockworms is about YOU, because we hope to outsource all of our writership to YOU.  Just think of Youtube...those guys didn't make any funny videos at all.  They just made a place for people to post their own videos, and now they get the biggie size every time--not because they're pigs, but because they can afford it.

We here at Rockworms hope to capture that same spirit of lazyness, and outsource all of our writing to the masses (or in our case, the "dozens"), but it means you have to move your mouse over to that link on the right that says "write something."   I know, it's hard, but honestly, could it be any worse than this?  A shameless self promoting article, practically BEGGING you to keep this little site going?

I would write more...but I've recently subscribed to Netflix, and I'm midway through the first season of Dexter and I need to know if he is going to figure out that Rudy and the Ice Truck Killer are the same person!

R.I.P. Larry Norman
Written by Adam Cozens

Larry lived a drug-free life...BUT YA WOULDN'T KNOW IT BY LOOKING AT HIM! On Sunday morning, legendary music artist and recording influence Larry Norman died of heart failure.

Norman, who made a name for himself in early Christian music cirlces has been credited as a major influence of wide-ranging artists as U2, DC Talk and John Mellencamp

At the time of his death, Norman was in the process of working on an album with Modest Mouse singer Isaac Brock and former Pixies singer Frank Black, who has cited Norman as a major influence.

First off, The Black Crowes are putting a nice spin on an album tour.  "Warpaint" will be the bands first album in seven years...and at upcoming shows, they plan on playing it all the way through.  Pretty cool, though I would miss hearing "She Talks To Angels..."

?uestlove and The Roots gang are pumping out their last contracted album with Def Jam records.  How do you make the first single hit with a bang?  Make it a pop tune that almost didn't make the album and just to ice the cake, have Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy sing it.....jeeze...I can hardly wait...

And lastly, to make this all about albums, Sir Paul McCartney and Tom Morello both plan on releasing albums this year despite recent ones in 2007.  To The Nightwatchman, congrats.  To Sir Paul, you better do something to get people to forget you wrote "Nod Your Head"

Jay-Z + Barclays Bank = Amistad
Written by Adam Cozens

Jay-Z was once "The Count" on Sesame Street. He sucked. So before this case gets quickly swept out of court, it should be noted that the New York Observer is reporting that rap mogul Jay-Z is being sued for $5 billion for finding personal benefit financially from the AFRICAN FREAKIN' SLAVE TRADE!!!

Alex Haley, conspicuous by his absence at the press announcement, was unavailiable for comment.

Brooklyn activist Clive Campbell is suing the artist, born Shawn Carter (but also known under such colorful pseudonymns as "Jigga", "Young H.O.", "Jay-Hova", and my personal favorite, "The United Nations of this Rap Sh*t") along with developer Bruce Ratner and Barclays bank seeking a "claim of lien" in property records that seeks the money from slavery reparations.

I don't really know what that means.
