You KNOW you won’t be able to easily decide if you want to miss this!
POP QUIZ: What happens when you take not one, but TWO Minneapolis-based cover bands, who each cover completely DIFFERENT groups and throw them together for a little downtown, club-setting mash-up highlight each other of their respective abilities to memorize and repeat others work?!? Yeah, we don’t know either. But they are giving it a shot.
What’s That? (a Radiohead Project), a 65% parenthetical group that prides itself in being Minneapolis’ only Radiohead cover band, (but the Coon Rapids-based Thom Yorke appreciators, “Garble Mouth” are pretty sick too) will be performing with a band dubbed The Mad Buggers who seemingly regular perform Pink Floyd’s epically over-rated album, “The Wall” on April 10th. OH YES THEY ARE!
According to their press release, this will be THE FIRST TIME (OMGZ!) both group have shared the stage. I think I pee’d myself just a little.
If you are interested (aka you really can’t bring yourself to buying $100 Radiohead tickets and are pretty sure you will never get a chance to watch Floyd live again and wouldn’t mind some kids give it a shot), all this action is going down at Trocaderos Nightclub in downtown Minny on Friday April 10th at 9pm.
Must be 18 or have a good fake I.D. to get in. Or some chicks. If you bring some chicks, you can probably get right in.

A funny, entertainingly cynical take on a well-intentioned but dry press release. Now I know what can happen when I send these things out to music blogs. Luv’d it! ‘Cept, we’re not axshully ‘covering other bands covers’ - that’d be redundantly redundant!
