Yeah, we’ll take credit for this one alright

Remember that extra-large sized magazine that you would occasionally skim through in the grocery store but would never bring yourself to purchase? Well, now you can think of it as the REGULAR-sized magazine that you occasionally skim through in the grocery store and never buy! Blame the recession or maybe their guilt for the extra-unnecessary slaying of BIG-ASS trees, but after 40 years, Rolling Stone Magazine is retiring it “so-big-it-won’t-fit-in-your-P.O.-Box” layout in favor of the traditional 10 x 12 inch design. Secretly, I think that our internet presence has finally gotten to them and they are needing to cut costs. Yeah…that’s gotta be it. Somewhere, Chris Cornell is crying.

According to Rockworms’ ugly red-headed step-sister site (Associated Press) Rolling Stone is converting to an era of Constanza-esque shrinkage. This is the second time RS has changed its layout. I do not care enough about it to describe how, but if you want to know, I’m pretty sure I just posted a super-click able link.

Now to the question of the hour: how will this shift affect Rockworms? Truthfully, I think that we are going to be able to scrape by this one unscathed. You see, while we and the fellas at RS are arch-rivals, we also carry a healthy level of respect for one another. Or at least, we like them. I doubt that they have heard of us. That is, until they “google” “Rolling Stone+shrinkage+big-ass”. Then they will know who we be.
